My dog Yuki completed a training program with Marwa. It was a great experience. After moving to the Bay Area, my dog started becoming reactive on leash around other dogs. After training with Marwa, she is doing so much better. What I appreciated about this experience was how I was able to be involved in the training so I can learn to maintain the good behavior moving forward. Marwa is a lifesaver! Ive seen her work with dogs that have a wide variety of negative behaviors, from food agression to separation anxiety, and in each case she has managed to target and correct the unwanted behavior without killing the pup's spirit. She really knows how to speak to a dog in his own language, which says a lot about her trustworthy nature.
Not only is she your dog's best friend, but she will also brighten your life and help you learn to communicate with your pooch in a productive way.

My dog Milo just completed a board and train program with Custom k9, and I highly recommend! I liked that he lived at Jeff’s house during the board and train, which felt more personalized and customized to him. Milo also received over a week and half of extra training which was amazing! This program is so cost effective because you get multiple private follow ups and free group trainings on weekends for life. I was also just sent 3 free daycare sessions! Custom k9 truly seems like a community of well behaved dogs, and I like that the daycares are held to the same standard as training with their structured set up too. Before the board and train, I was struggling walking Milo due to leash reactivity with other dogs and his pulling. Jeff taught me new ways to walk him with control that involved other strategies besides food as my dog is less food motivated! It was so helpful. We love the folks at Custom K9!
They've been providing structured daycare and overnight boarding for our sometimes-grumpy, older Corgi, Jackson, for over a year and a half now. Jackson got in a bit of trouble at another doggie daycare establishment (yes, it was his fault...), so we had to find another daycare provider. After a consultation meeting, we were so happy that Custom K9 agreed to take Jackson in.
We take him in for their structured daycare once a week. We can tell that he loves it there whenever we drop him off in the morning, since he basically forgets that we're there, and when he takes his sweet time to leave during pick-up.
Beckie is awesome and all the Custom K9 staff are always so nice.
We also had very good experiences with Custom K9's overnight boarding options. Jackson has stayed there for some long weekends, and we also have him staying for an extended period over the upcoming Christmas break. Again, it's obvious that Jackson enjoys his longer stays there as well. We're very grateful that the Custom K9 folks accommodate our request to let Jackson's doggie sister, Connie, visit and stay with Jackson during the overnight boarding times. Even though we're missing our dogs, it makes it so much easier knowing that they are able to spend their evenings together.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Absolutely the Best Doggy Daycare + Training!

We couldn’t be happier with our experience here! The entire staff is warm, truly dog-loving, and incredibly friendly, with strong training expertise that shines through in every interaction. We started with their 24-day training daycare bundle, which is perfect for our schedule. Drop-off between 7–9 AM and pick-up from 3–6 PM gives so much flexibility, especially for pet parents with fluctuating work hours.

Our pup was a little shy the first day or two, but by day three he was running to meet his new friends. Now, as soon as we pull up, he can’t wait to hop out of the car. The real-time camera monitoring is such a bonus; we love being able to check in throughout the day—and the Instagram spotlights are adorable. We’ve seen him splashing in the pool, playing on swings, and having a blast with other dogs. It gives us such peace of mind knowing he’s happy and cared for. He’s gotten down all of the basic commands and has become easier to train at home - he no longer barks while his food is being prepared but waits until it is set down for him. He’s also about 95% potty trained at 5 months (everyone makes mistakes) and listens to “drop it” “heel” and sit/stay/break.

While the package might seem pricey at first, it’s 100% worth it. Our pup has learned so much in terms of commands, and as a bonus, he’s happily tuckered out when we pick him up. They also offer overnight boarding, which we haven’t tried yet, but based on our experience so far, we have no doubt it’s just as top-notch.

I have sisters who were in desperate need of socialization and Custom-K9 Training and Boarding was the place to go.  For our consultation, we were greeted by Beckie and met Jeff and Ava.  They were so welcoming and had a great understanding of where our girls were based on their years of experience.  My girls had a great time and always look forward to going to school and I know they are in good hands.  My girls came back with so much more knowledge and the ability to follow commands.

Custom K-9 is a great place to go to when it comes to training. We came here for Day Training during 2021 with our previous dog and had decided to come back 4-years later! This time we went with Board and Train, and it was nice to see the before and after results. After the Board and Train, we were still able to follow up with them and receive guidance. The Custom-K9 team are total lifesavers! Their puppy day training program transformed my samoyed puppy Yuki from a nipping monster into a well-mannered cloud. She loves going to daycare and comes back happy & pooped from a full day of play. The trainers really go above and beyond, from taking her out on a beach day to giving her a bath when she makes a mess of herself.

During private and group trainings with Marwa, we witnessed firsthand what a strong bond she has with Yuki. Yuki is always overjoyed to see her and very attentive. Marwa worked closely with us on Yuki's progress, teaching us better ways to communicate with Yuki and checking in with us regularly. When we brought up concerns about our rescue dog's reactivity rubbing off on Yuki, she immediately suggested that we bring him to group training and helped us develop management techniques for him. I cannot recommend Custom K9 Dog Facility enough! After some disappointing experiences with Rover and independent dog sitters, it was important for me to find a reliable place to care for my dog when I travel or have busy work days. From the moment I found Custom K9, all my worries disappeared!!

Buddy is our rescue dog who had a biting behavior…3 years of abuse.  We were told that we couldn’t take him anywhere.  A family member told us about Custom K-9 and how they could train him.  We took Buddy to Custom K-9 soon after thereafter.  The training they provided changed him into a new dog.  We can’t thank Marwa and her staff  enough for the love they showed Buddy.  Buddy is now 95% a new dog and this is the only place Buddy feels comfortable when we go away on a trip. Our family members even comment on his transition of being a nice family dog.

Jeff, Marwa, and Becky and Custom-K9 have been absolutely top notch! Our experience as a family with a new dog has been amazing. Our dog Zoey needed a lot of help with learning how to regulate her energy with other dogs, go on productive walks and heel when necessary, go to the bathroom in the morning and evening in the backyard, be ok with grooming and veterinary visits, stay in place when needed, etc. On top of all that, she is a tripawd, and needed special accommodations for her challenges.
The team at Custom K9 took all of this into account, as well as supported our particular needs as a family. They went above and beyond in providing Zoey and our family with an excellent experience with her board and train. They were flexible, patient, loving, wise, and they are truly experts in the field of dog training. They are also truly caring about your family- they're not just a business to make money, but a family operation that cares about their customers.

We love Custom-K9 and so does our dog, Cappuccino!

We first started out with the puppy training and our dog's behavior has improved so much few weeks in it was unbelievable! We were surprised to join the group trainings a couple months later only to find how obedient our dog has gotten. We've been bringing him for structured daycare and group trainings even after the training package was completed. We especially loved the advanced group trainings that are held at a dog park nearby, where they really teach obedience in a very distracting environment. Cappuccino also had a birthday pawty with them back in October!

Mar and Jeff are amazing trainers and humans!
We recently adopted a Belgian Malinois puppy beginning of December and knew we would need to find boarding for our end of month vacation. Came across Custom-K9 and couldn't be happier! After meeting with Mar and Jeff prior to the drop off, We Felt more comfortable leaving him there for a week. Mind you, he is only 12 weeks old and their compassion for our furry friends really showed and was reflected in his behavior when we took him home. They even sent updates and pics during his stay! Finding a daycare that meets your dogs needs is difficult. We have taken our dog to 2 other daycares prior to custom k-9. Thankfully we found custom k-9 about a year ago and have been taking our dog Mochi ever since. The structured daycare and group training have really helped with Mochi’s behavior and obedience training. The trainers are so kind and always offer us advice and tips to overcome any behavior challenges that come up. They are able to answer any of our  questions. During group trainings Jeff and Marwa have been very supportive. They take their time to explain behavior interventions for our dog and modeling what to do in a situation. We have recommended custom K-9 to family members and they have shared the same great experience as us. My dog loves this place and so do I. I have worked with Custom K9 on individual training and have also had my dog in the puppy training camp and have even had her board with them multiple times. My dog learned so much from the structured daycare and she came home so tired and happy! It was honestly the best. My dog has some anxiety around men and can be skittish. I have nothing but praise for the owners and staff of Custom-K9 Dog Training & Boarding. They have provided a professional and friendly atmosphere for our Bernedoodle from the onset with  puppy training to three years later now with structured day training, boarding when needed and weekly group training sessions. I am so pleased with Custom-K9 Dog Training and Boarding that I can't recommend them enough. I have 2 litter mate male terriers that are a handful for me to walk, socialize, train and board. Yet the trainers at Custom-K9 Dog Training and Boarding were able to get my dogs to be social with other dogs at the facility, be calm and happy, and take directions. I am even more grateful that I have found a place where I can leave my naughty dogs during vacation. At Custom-K9, I don't have to worry that my dogs may freak out or terrorize other dogs. The team at Custom K-9 are anbsolutely amazing. They have helped me tremendously with my pit bull puppy, Buddy, who was “given” to us from an animal hoarder when he was only 4 weeks old. My husband recently passed away and he was the one who handled Buddy. I couldn’t walk Buddy and I was afraid of taking him around people; I did not socialize him properly. Marwa, Jeff, Beckie and the entire team have helped Buddy and me find hope and Buddy is a new man! I can walk him anywhere, he loves going to daycare and he loves everyone at Custom-K9. This was a pivotal year for my dog.  I have a six year old, 115 lb Great Pyrenees Labrador mix who is mostly a gentle giant, BUT has some major behavioral triggers (crows, mopeds, coyotes, to name a few).  Triggers that when he is set off can cause broken fingers (yep, true story) or pull me over and drag me across the grass (yep, another true story).    I had to do something to learn how to diffuse his triggers otherwise I wouldn't be able to keep him.
Enter Custom-K9 ----  Jeff and Marwa are experts.
I signed my dog up for a Board and Train session to give him focused, consistent training time with the Custom-K9 team.  Since the session I regularly attend Dog Training sessions so I can become educated on how to handle and navigate through the triggers.  And it's working!
If your dog has any behavioral issues, needs basic training (sit, stay, heal, etc.) or just needs to be socialized with other dogs, Custom-K9 is the place to go.  The entire staff is great and really rounds out my recommendation.
Their facility is one of the best I have seen with regards to both day drop off dog socialization/training/care and overnight boarding.  With webcams on all the dog areas, you can check up on your pup any time.
Jeff is a highly regarded, established dog trainer.  He's trained police/combat dogs and knows how to gain the respect of any dog that he is presented with.
You will not find a more passionate team than Jeff and Marwa.

The staff here are great! Very friendly and professional.  Both my my frenchies, Nova did the day training and she loved it. Then I decided to put both my frenchies, Nova and Zaza into the night boarding, and I felt at ease.  The staff always kept me updated and sent photos while my dogs were there, they are very responsive whenever I reach out to them to check on the dogs, and so I was not worried about them because I trust the staff. My dog Lychee significantly improved from the start to completion of her program. Before we brought her in, she was leash reactive, often too excited, and not listening. It was embarrassing whenever we saw other dogs walking their dogs while mine pulled and barked. I grew anxious, and didn't know how to handle her at those times.

We brought her to Custom K-9 and even just one consultation made an improvement. The staff were extremely patient and had knowledgeable tactics to really give Lychee a boost of confidence and the opportunity to thrive. The group and private trainings further transitioned the curriculum at the facility to the home setting, where my husband and I were able to continue Lychee's training with new knowledge and understanding. Upon course completion, Lychee made a significant stride in remaining calm, ignoring other dogs, able to confront large dogs given proper distance, and listen to us! Although she still has times of reactivity and excitement, we as her humans also gained the tools and resources to help guide her in those times to remain calm and collective. Marwa was so patient with our dog Minnie. She had a terrible anxiety. I took Marwa's 6 days of special daycare training package and one private lesson. That's all it took, my dog who was scared of everyone was putty in her hands. I saw results instantly, watching her work with Minnie was like nothing I've seen before. Positive Energy, and their whole team, are great at what they do! Frankie, our German Shephard puppy, started in late July at PE at about 3 months old. His mom (me - age not to be disclosed) started at the same time. Both of us were clueless. Frankie through no fault of his own, he's a puppy. Frankie was scared of everything and reacted to everything. The staff used to say "here comes Frankie" before we even got into the facility because he'd bark his head off as soon as he hopped out of the car.

We started with Saturday puppy socials. By the end of the 1st hour of the 1st social I could see that Frankie had made progress with Marwa's calm, consistent and firm hand. So we quickly started in on structured training/day care. Within weeks, the progress that Frankie made was amazing! It wasn't long before Frankie stopped barking on arrival at PE, but instead was jumping in excitement. And, Mom has made progress too. I can't say enough good about our experience at PE. Four months ago our family added a lovable Newfoundland puppy to the crew, Foley. We knew immediately that Foley was a sweetie but we also knew that we needed help training him before he got huge! So off to Positive Energy we went. Marwa, Jeff, Jose, and Isabelle have all been incredible with Foley. In about three months, he went from knowing zero commands to being a pro at a whole repertoire of them (sit, down, place, stay, wait, crate, out, leave it, break, etc.—he has them all down!). His impulse control is so much better (no longer trying to run out the door when people come and he leaves his cat brother alone) and he has not had any moments of Newfie stubbornness in months (trust me, getting an 80 pound dog that does not want to move to do what you want is impossible).

Jeff and Marwa both came to give us private training with Foley. Even after just one session, he was a different pup. He knew more from his structured daycare than we ever expected—it was his humans that needed the training. Now he no longer tries to greet everyone and every dog he sees while we are walking and instead understands that we are working when out for walks (he checks in with us instead of focusing only on everything else).

Foley also comes home exhausted from his school days (a tired puppy is a good puppy!) and he clearly adores his trainers. And he loves all of his puppy buddies. Because of Positive Energy, we have an amazing puppy who is quickly turning into an incredible canine citizen. I highly recommend Positive Energy!

I am so glad we found positive energy! My rescue pup was under socialized with other dogs and was struggling with reactivity. We purchased a private training package and Marwa & Jeff worked with us to truly help my girl overcome it. They brought their own dogs to help her practice, and then we moved on to lessons in busy areas where we knew dogs would be around. They also helped me train her with the e-collar which has been a game changer for us. Now we attend the group trainings every Sunday and my dog has improved so much that she is now able to go to their structured daycare to socialize freely with other dogs - something I thought might never be possible! This place is great. I boarded my dog fir 2 wks and she learned s lot. She does very well with leash and crate training. A big help to marwa. You are a ROCK STAR!!! I strongly recommend them. I had a dog trainer that was very abusive. Snap thd leash and had me tug on her leash when she did not list e n. I wanted to stress that this is the best training schools I ever took my dog too. Positive energy has done an AMAZING job training Denver. From Day 1 he has continuously made great progress, starting with being scared of all dogs, to now being fully confident/sometimes even TOO confident around way bigger dogs. He behaves amazingly, and the positive energy team does not just do a great job training the dogs, but the owners as well. I would highly recommend them to any dog owner, and will be continuing to use them in the future! I have so many things to say about this place but especially Mawra. I came across her and her business a little more than a year ago and I still bring my Nala here. The training provided by positive energy is great! Nala is not perfect but they helped Nala so much. I truly believe they shaped who Nala is today. Mawra is always open for advice and tips and her place of establishment is always so welcoming! I love that mawra is always available when I need her to board Nala. My dog Martini has been going to Positive Energy for about 9 months now and I can't say enough about how great the team is there. Starting with Marwa, who you can tell loves what she does, and cares about each dog.  Martini is always so happy on her way to school and exhausted by the tike she comes home from all the great training she received that day. PE dog training has been such a positive experience for us with our pup Donut!! He LOVES going to PE and has learned a ton! They really do care about your pup being well behaved and helping you, the owners, to be the best you can to help your pup succeed. Donut started when he was about 6 months old and he wouldn’t listen to us at all. He is now almost 1 and he’s improved so much and keeps getting better. At first we got the 26day package, then 2wk board and train (mainly bc he has severe separation anxiety and we needed help on his crate training), and now we do a few days here and there and the staff couldn’t be nicer!! We love the Positive Energy Team!

We have seen HUGE improvements during training. The PE team set us up for success on loose leash walking, regulating play with other dogs (this was huge!), crate training, impulse control with the “place” command, and even took our pup on field trips to train in new environments like restaurants and breweries. Bonus is that your puppy comes home absolutely exhausted after training. My dog has high anxiety, and I have appreciated how patient the staff has been with her. They seem to understand each dog and their needs and address them appropriately. The socials have given me the opportunity to see my dog's improvement, surrounded by other dogs and by staff who care about her development and enjoy watching her grow as much I have. These folks are heroes and lifesavers. Georgia started having issues with other dogs and some people, barking like crazy and nothing worked. Marwa and team took her in for training and when I go out of town also take her overnight. She gets exposure to other dogs all day and is corrected when she starts being barky. She is slowly improving, which is amazing after a year of trying everything on my own. Worth every penny. They even took her when they were full because I was at my wits end. PE dog training helped with my very shy rescue pup Corey.  He had a very tough start in his first home and we needed to find him a place that would work with his issues to help him be confident with other dogs and people.  PE gave us so many options including initial socialization with the pack, full day training, board and train, one on one training  and very fun weekend socials! This review is long overdue but PE training was just fantastic and instrumental for the development of our dog Churro. We sent him to PE for their puppy training program when he was about 12 weeks old including their puppy socials. The trainers were all great and so loving to him!  I would/have recommended them if you have a new puppy!

*Churro just started daycare at Here Doggy, and runs into Darlene from PE periodically. He gets so excited seeing her that he excite-a-pees 50% of the time. One thing I guess we couldn't train out :)

During our initial consultation, we saw Marwa in action and were in awe at how responsive and attentive our pup was to her. After just a few day training sessions, we saw massive growth and improvement! Great place to tire out our energetic puppy and get him socialized with people and other dogs. The staff really care about the health and safety of the dogs, and are very helpful in giving training advice and progress reports on our pup's behavior. They offer daycare, boarding, and weekend socials. Positive Energy Dog Training is the best place to go for your dog. They truly care about the animals and provide only the best. The trainers and handlers are all very helpful and friendly. My dog is a rescue who was very shy and anxious. By going to Positive Energy Dog Training,  he has gotten much more confident and has helped us with behavioral corrections in the household. I sent my fur baby here for the Board and training program. I met with the owner Marwa who right off the bat was great! I felt such a good vibe from her (I had called quiet a few other places and just didn’t care for any of them) Her facility wasn’t that far from me either which was great. Her setup is awesome. A lot for the pups to do. I also love and appreciate the fact that she has cameras so your always able to see what kind of “trouble” your little one is getting into :). The couple of staff members I met were very friendly and helpful as well. I definitely would recommend this place whether it’s for boarding/ training or just need a doggy day care for the day/week. Positive Energy Dog Training is THE!!! facility to consider for your dog's training and boarding needs in the Bay Area. I had the amazing opportunity to take a look behind the scenes and was incredibly impressed to see every team member treat the animals with as much kindness and love as if they were their own. Every dog is continually looked after and cared for. The employees are all qualified to handle even the most difficult of situations which is something I truly care about when it comes to the safety of my own dogs. We have loved bringing our young puppy to the socials at Positive Energy! We’re able to let him feel out the world around him and get to know new dogs, but the trainers watching and interrupting anything that is “too much” has really helped give us confidence in what we should be helping him with on walks and meeting new dogs. My (then) 2.5month old puppy started at PE Dog Training a couple weeks ago and he has TRANSFORMED! He’s getting the fun play with other puppies that he needs (+ I’m getting a little time back for meetings!) and he’s getting comfortable with leash walking and basic commands. Of course, we reinforce everything at home too - but PE is a godsend. All the trainers are great but Chewie, our (now) 3month old pup, LOVES Gina. And we love her too! We adopted our puppy in late September 2020 when it was most difficult to socialize him not only because of the pandemic but also of the bad air quality due to the Northern CA fires.  We missed to socialize our puppy during the crucial socialization period.  Our puppy was fearful and anxious, and would snap at strangers who would try to pet him.

Signing up our puppy with Positive Energy’s day training program was a very good decision, one of the important decisions my family made.   It was an investment to a good dog that our family can be happy and have a good relationship with.  Our puppy has learned the important obedience skills, has been socialized with both dogs and people, and is now a confident dog.  Via the private sessions, we (the owners) have learned how to continue the training at home.   Also, Positive Energy’s puppy socials on weekends have helped our puppy to meet other dogs and people in a managed environment.  Marwa and her staff are the best!  I appreciate all the trainers especially Marwa, Jenni, Giselle, and Britney.  We'll surely consider bringing our dog back in the future if he needs a refresh of his obedience skills. Amazing place with incredible people! They are not only great trainers put clearly people who love dogs. Our 8 month old bundle of anxiety has been making massive progress and having a blast while doing so. He is super excited to go in the morning and comes back exhausted, plus we get to see him through the webcams throughout the day. Marwa is honestly the best trainer we could have found for our rambunctious 5 month old German Shepard, Blizzard! She’s like a dog whisperer, it’s crazy 😂 She uses all humane and positive training techniques to really create a language between you and your fur baby that you both understand. She had Blizzard for a 2 week board and train, and when we picked him up we saw a world of difference right away after just 2 weeks! She updated us frequently, sent pictures/videos often, and she is very quick to respond as well and work around your schedule. Although we missed our boy, we were never worried about him. He was in wonderful hands. We just completed our first evaluation with Marwa. She is calm, professional and inquisitive about what we know about our dog (she’s a 5 year old rescue, recently adopted into our home) .

We plan to work with Marwa over a longer period of time, to help our dog with her separation anxiety and general socialization, as she came from a rough life before.

Marwa is very easy to get in touch with and we were able to book our first session very quickly, which we needed. She already left us with some good observations and tips to work on before we officially start working together.

I have only had an evaluation with Marwa. So far she has been great. She got to know my pooch (Yoda). She asked about how he's been in my home. My little man is a little shy and fearful. Once we are start our sessions I will leave a better updated review. As of right now, I highly recommend her. She has a lot of experience and made me feel really comfortable asking questions. My Shar Pei mix, Annie, had massive separation anxiety issues and since working with Marwa, I've seen MASSIVE improvement. Things aren't solved yet, but we've only had a few sessions. I also leave Annie with Marwa for day care training which is something I've not seen before. When I pick up Annie, she thoroughly mentally exhausted. Even better, I have a private session the next day to transfer the techniques and commands Marwa has taught her to me. Her system is amazing and she so devoted to training. When her usual techniques aren't working with my dog's stubborn personality, she does tons of research to find another solution instead of hammering in some standard solution. have a husky who I got from the shelter at age 3. She is so hyper and full of energy. I did not want to use choke collars or shocks and searched for a more positive reinforcement training approach. Marwa helped me teach her impulse control and how to walk properly on a leash using games and treats. In only one session you could see a difference in her demeanor and how she listened to me. Awesome training, it really is positive training she embodies it as a whole! Marwa is super nice and very supportive for people who never trained their dogs before! My dog, Dexter, started misbehaving after 5 years. He was tearing up my couches. He was messing with toilet paper. It started becoming hard to keep the house clean. He also started barking at my granddaughters and scaring them which he had never done before. I considered giving him away, but couldnt bring myself to part with him. Hes my baby. I heard about Marwa from a friend. I decided to give her a try. I would try anything at this point.  She trained Dexter to behave and become the happy-go-lucky boy he had previously been.
